Switching provider
Moving from someone else, without losing what you have built.
The two things agents worry about when switching are the domain and the rankings. Both are manageable — we crawl your existing site before anything changes and redirect every URL that matters to its new home — and neither should be a reason to stay somewhere you have outgrown.
What we do
We start by finding out what you have, properly, rather than taking anybody’s word for it.
We crawl your existing site before anything changes, so we know every page that exists. Where your search data is available we also know which of those pages actually earn their keep — and that is what decides where each one should point afterwards.
Then your addresses get looked after. Pages that are earning something keep working. Several thin pages on the same subject become one better page, with the old addresses pointing at it. Pages that were never doing anything are retired properly rather than left to rot. That is a better outcome than moving everything across untouched, and it is the part most migrations skip.
Your news and area guides come across, images and all. Your domain stays yours — and if it turns out it is not currently registered to you, we will help you get it back before anything else happens.

The questions people ask
Will I lose my Google rankings?
Not if the move is done properly. Rankings attach to addresses, so every address that matters gets redirected to the page that replaces it. We have your own search data in front of us while we decide, so nothing important gets guessed at.
How long does it take?
The build is weeks rather than months. The migration work happens during it, not at the end — which matters, because we need your old site still running while we do it.
Do I need to tell my current provider first?
Check your notice period before you do anything, then tell us what it says. There is no advantage in a confrontation, and a quiet handover is easier for everybody.
Can I keep my email?
Yes. Your email is separate from your website even when the same company set both up, and we will make sure nothing we change touches it.
What if leaving costs more than staying?
Then we will tell you to stay this year and talk again nearer your renewal. We would rather have the conversation twice than sell you something that leaves you worse off.
